This is useful for many reasons related to data management but the following used case came up when talking to Martin and Martin:
If a field technician uploads inspections but accidentally inputs a typo under the manhole or pipe asset ID then the inspection will not be associated to the pipe. To facilitate this for the field inspector there should be an error log notifying the user that the inspections did not find matching IDs so they can fix and reupload again. This prevents the extra steps for the engineer to have to fix or send back to the field inspector.
In general, this is a good log to have as there are no other easy ways to determine which inspections were associated besides looking at the blue color in the pipe IDs.
