The issue involves a simulation failing due to a bad geometry building polygon. Although there was no critical error during the meshing process, the simulation failed at the initialization stage.
In this particular instance, the client resolved the issue by deleting the problematic polygon (building) and creating it anew. Upon closer inspection, it seems the problem could have been caused by the rule of the right-hand shape. This was indicated when adding a new additional vertex to the building, which resulted in some unusual shapes.
The solution might have been using the Repair Shapefile tool in QGIS, as it helps in addressing such geometry issues. Given this experience, I believe it would be highly beneficial if we could have a similar tool built into ICM. Having this functionality would enable us to perform such repairs even before meshing, greatly enhancing our efficiency.
