Long Section to AutoCAD DWG

As the Alternative Results in the Long Section are bogus (they are not Level or height above datum) instead are displayed as depth above invert) - we need a better way to compare existing simulation results and proposed results in a long section.

This case, exporting one Long Section to AutoCAD DWG format is the only common workflow that would allow both long sections to export, and allow comparison of actual water surface elevations.

However, the CAD linework is a mess. Layers do not follow the logic of the application but are rendered on layers for the color and linetype.

166 202 240 CONTINUOUS - its got a little bit of everything on each of these layers.

I want the long section written so I can isolate the grid, from the ground, from the node chamber to the 2D levels.

Let's start with layers like:

  • Link

  • Ground

  • Manhole

  • Left Bank

  • Right Bank

  • Flood Level

  • Total Head

  • Secondary Water Level

  • Strip Map
