Document how results pfc vs r.pfc are calculated for open channels

in the long plots we ask for two capacities, we get pfc vs r.pfc for pipes they are the same , but for open channels such a trapezoidal they are different. there seems to be no literature on this.

Following on my previous message, I am moving the status of this to "We will not implement" until we receive further clarifications on what is meant by r.pfc.

Did you mean the ratio of pipe full capacity?

In any case, please send us screenshots of where the values you're referring to live in the software so we can provide documentation.

Hi John, would you please elaborate on what is meant by r. pfc? In the pipe properties in ICM, we have the pipe full capacity which will be calculated as soon as you validate your network but not sure what is meant by r.pfc

PFC is just full pipe capacity, and it is not part of the ICM InfoWorks solution. It is a reference value that users can easily understand as it is based on Manning's equation. Regarding your question, it is probably a case where the PFC calcuated on the link grid uses a different cross-sectional area than the cross-sectional area during the simulation.
