There should be a way of applying the inflow that the paving receives directly (i.e. the rain that falls onto it) to produce a more accurate simulation of the rainfall. This direct rainfall isn't a lateral or point inflow, and being forced to model as such produces unrealistic flooding at one end of the pavement, which can lead to conservative depths to overcome.
Also, in applying the inflow directly to the paving, it would also be useful not to have to duplicate the exact same size/shape of paving into an inflow each time.

I agree. For example on a housing site, where porous paved driveways are used for on-plot source control conveyance of roof water and driveway water to an under-drained swale network (assuming the ground has no infiltration potential) you currently have to model the porous paving with either a lateral or point inflow equivalent to the combined area of roof and driveway otherwise the inflow summary report is incorrect. It would be much better if the porous paving area could be modelled with direct rainfall over its entire area, the separate point or lateral inflow being for the roof areas only and the inflow summary report reconfigured to incorporate the porous paving areas.
