Thank you for the clarification, as the site design is supposed to live in Civil 3D, I am pleased to advise that the clash detection part will be addressed as part of our ID/C3D integration initiatives (Integrated Drainage Design and Analysis) which has been shared with customers during Autodesk University. Watch the space for more updates on this and I will be keeping you and those who voted updated with where we are.
I will be treating this suggestion as Auto Profiling only as the other part will be addressed as part of the IDDA initiative. I will rename the suggestion so it's clearer for other voters.
Clash detection between wet utilities and dry utilities in infrastructure projects involves identifying and resolving conflicts or clashes that arise between underground pipes, conduits related to water (wet utilities) and those related to electricity, telecommunications, gas, or other non-water utilities (dry utilities). Usually, we the dry utilities are cad reference only which might need with the development tools to be converted to alignments and or equivalent small pipes prior the clash detection.
The detection should be a comprehensive output report as clash location, diameters, depth to invert, depth to cover for all elements sharing the crossing, and the clearance.
Kindly note, If the checking between the storm network and sewerage network only and both created by InfoDrainage; the AI integration and algorithm to solve the clash will be a great and unique addition; where the program to consider the clearance required during the design the network.
Thank you for the suggestion and thanks to those who voted. First of all, I have a question on what you meant by Clash Detection, InfoDrainage has clash detection implemented since Sept 2023, was this added to the title by mistake?
Re Auto Profiling - we will engage in consultations with a wider array of stakeholders to gauge their interest and gather additional perspectives on the proposed feature. Should we observe a substantial level of enthusiasm and demand from our customers, we will be inclined to advance the status of this suggestion to "Under Consideration."
This stage will involve a more detailed analysis, including a feasibility study, resource allocation assessment, and preliminary planning to understand how this feature could be seamlessly integrated into InfoDrainage.
