Current asset table imports are limited to the fields Info360 Asset provides. User defined fields allows for users to import any asset attribute fields they are interested in storing and analyzing without the need to use a custom table to import those fields. This results in improvements during the data update process as it is easier to update one GIS attribute table without having to update custom tables.

We have on our longer term roadmap the ability for Info360 Asset users to define their own schema. But in the meantime the fixed Info360 Asset schema can be extended using custom tables.
From Joshua Pennykid "If you have a field in the SHP file for main and MH data that has no equivalency in Info360 preset attribute fields, the attribute doesn’t get added if you don’t map it to a preexisting Info360 attribute field "
