UX: Allow decimal values without a leading zero

When adjusting values - you need to enter a leading zero to adjust by non-integer values.

It would be nice to simply type '.5' if you need to lower by half a unit.

The anticipation and early validation of the number is needless to toss a dialog box.

A better solution would be to allow full entry until the user click something else on the dialog box.

This workflow would also be better suited for an APPLY button allowing the user to tweak the value again if needed.

Ouch - canned response. Only slightly better than ignoring the idea...

Thank you for the suggestion and thanks to those who voted.

We will engage in consultations with a wider array of stakeholders to gauge their interest and gather additional perspectives on the proposed feature.

Should we observe a substantial level of enthusiasm and demand, we will be inclined to advance the status of this suggestion to "Under Consideration." This stage will involve a more detailed analysis, including a feasibility study, resource allocation assessment, and preliminary planning to understand how this feature could be seamlessly integrated into the software.
