The current UPM tool only allows for completion of level 1 water quality impact assessments. We believe that our assessments would benefit greatly by having the additional functionality to complete level 2 water quality impact assessments. This means that, instead of stochastically generating river flows from an average and a standard deviation, the tool would offer the option of importing a time-series river flow file for the duration of the run (obtained from observed river flow data or flow estimates). This would allow the tool to represent both the sewer and river using time-varying data which would subsequently allow better assessment of seasonal variation
