While setting up a custom theme to align WS Pro more closely to our GIS, I've found the support for symbols quite limited, and think these would be worthwhile improvements:
Support the use of custom SVG icons, and/or
Support the use of non-system fonts for symbols, as it's a bit cumbersome to request all users install a custom font
For Spatial Data (including Customer Points), the allocation line is only drawn if the symbol is set to something, which conflicts with a font symbol. Perhaps add a 'Line Only' symbol option so the line is still drawn, or also draw the line if a font symbol is used?
An option to orient the symbol / font symbol to the link, this seems to be a special property on some built-in symbols but it would be useful for others. Like most UK utilities we use a perpendicular line across the pipe to indicate a valve, or a square aligned with the pipe for a meter, but these aren't currently possible (afaik)
