For large, long-duration simulations, users often only need high-resolution results during critical periods (such as peak flooding), but must currently save detailed results throughout the entire simulation.
Add the ability to define a Results Storage Period that controls when and at what resolution results are saved, while still running the full simulation period and calculating maximum values across the entire run.
Allow users to:
Save detailed results only between specified start and end times.
Save no results outside that period, or save results at a coarser interval (e.g., every 1 or 6 hours).
Continue tracking maximum depths, flows, velocities, and other summary statistics for the full simulation.

Thank you for suggesting the idea, and thanks to those who voted.
I totally agree that this is an amazing enhancement to add to ICM and it'll benefit those running large 2D simulations. Therefore, I am progressing the stage of this idea to Under Consideration so we can assess the technical feasibility and the effort with the development team.
