we are increasing using Xylem Nexicom Smart System to control pumps in pumping stations across Scotland. This smart control system includes an number of functions such as Energy Minimizer and Sup and pipe cleaning . Scottish Water has found difficult to replicate the operation of pumping stations with this Xylem Nexicom Smart System system installed by using the RTC functionality in InfoWorks ICM. It would be helpful if future versions of InfoWorks ICM included this kind of smart systems as modelling options.
Thank you for raising this. I can see why integrating the Xylem Nexicom Smart System as a modelling option would be helpful, especially given your increased use of it across pumping stations and the challenges you’ve had replicating its behaviour through RTC.
At this stage though, adding support for specific proprietary smart-control systems sits quite low in our priority list. We’re focusing on broader global improvements so we won’t be progressing it in the near term.
