Thank you for the suggestion and thanks to those who voted.

Are you looking for a de-select tool so you can click on an object and it gets de-selected? if yes, then we already have that, you just need to press Ctrl and click on an object.

If you're talking about a polygon de-select tool, then this is a different story and it would be an idea that we can move to Gathering Support stage.

I will progress this idea to Gathering Support stage assuming that you're referring to the polygon de-select.
