Just what the above says. The zoom in/out can be pretty touchy, particularly on track pad. While "zoom to selection" helps, if you're just trying to zoom to a single node or short link, it zooms in too close to be particularly helpful when looking for context at nearby features. Adding "pan to selection," similar to the funtionality in ArcGIS, would allow for navigating to a selected feature while maintaing an appropriate zoom level.
This is really useful when you need to locate a selection but need to see it's location in the wider context of the catchment.
