Interpolate bank elevations from cross-section ends

It often happens that river reaches are constructed from traditional surveyed cross-sections, which is of a higher accuracy compared to LIDAR data. A common need is for the bank elevations between the surveyed cross-sections to be interpolated based on the upstream and downstream surveyed cross-section end. I am not aware of a way to do this in ICM, but would be extremely useful given that it is the bank elevations that dictate the water leaving and entering the river reach which could be based on poor LIDAR data.
