IWP Surge has the unique ability to run surge simulations without the need to skeletonize the model. However, the Standard mode is currently the only option for running Surge simulations (Background and Cloud are not available).
On larger models a smaller Simulation Duration is warranted to keep the Surge simulation run time within reason for trial-and-error analysis. Oftentimes larger simulation durations (e.g., 300 seconds) are necessary in order to verify proposed surge control measures are truly affective, but take a very long time to complete. Access to the Cloud Run Mode for Surge would greatly decrease the run time for Surge simulations with a larger Simulation Duration.
