HGL levels without nodes on links(pipes)

There is a scenario in which the water mains reach the top of a hill(pumping to reach the top) and then the water just drives by gravity to a storage tank. Instead of having multiple nodes in between to give the exact hydraulic grade levels, an option to design the pipe with varying altitudes could be handy and easier to design in future.

Indeed, adding nodes solely for varying elevations can be a tedious task, especially since their placement serves only as input for elevation data. If it's possible to avoid using multiple nodes, it would greatly assist with the numbering of nodes. In the context of a city-scale model, the requirement for numerous nodes just for elevation data can be quite overwhelming.

Just to clarify, you are looking for an option to specify varying elevations at vertices within pipes and the ability to view those points in HGL profiles? Would you need to enter optional minor losses at these vertices?

Is there a reason you wouldn't want Nodes at these points? e.g. based on source data format or overall model size and simulation times?
