The field construction year of each object type from WS Pro are not linked to the simulation runtime, so you can get information for future infrastructures that you need to move away from your model or transfer to a new model or scenario.
It would be interesting this field should be directly associated to the simulation runtime in case you could have this information from your infrastructure.
Are you hoping to create simulations based on any desired timeframe and have the software automatically select the appropriate pipes and assets for the simulation based on their lifecycle status during that time window?
For the time being, you could use a SQL Query or Ruby script with a prompt to create a scenario with the appropriate objects based on construction year. The model would likley require validation before use in the engine.
