In InfoWorks WS Pro, selecting multiple objects requires holding Ctrl while clicking. If Ctrl is accidentally released, the entire selection is cleared when another object is selected, which can be frustrating when working with large selections.
It would be helpful to either:
Add an undo/restore option for selections, or
Provide a toggleable multi‑select button that allows users to select multiple objects without holding down the Ctrl key
This would improve usability and efficiency when working with large or complex selections.
This is a great idea. Thanks for sharing! I could imagine a few different modes if we were to support that, like (a) New selection, (b) Add to selection, (c) Remove from selection.
Also, can you share what type of workflow you were doing with multi-selection? We could perhaps add better support for selecting series of connected objects (e.g. for long section) or simple tracing of DMA's or Isolation Areas.
