In InfoWorks WS Pro, it is currently not possible to restore an earlier network version and promote it as the latest version. If a mistake is made in a newer version (e.g., Version 194), the only available workaround is to copy or branch from the previous version (e.g., Version 193). However, copying to a new network and control scenario results in the loss of the original version history, which breaks traceability.
A native “Restore Version as Latest” feature would allow users to take an earlier version (e.g., Version 193) and restore it directly as the next version (e.g., Version 195), preserving the full version history and maintaining a clean, auditable workflow. This capability is essential for quality assurance, error recovery, and maintaining defensible modelling records.
