In many InfoWorks ICM models, wastewater generation follows the same general diurnal patterns across multiple areas, typically flow meter basins, but the per-capita wastewater flow (gpcd) varies. Currently, accommodating these differences requires duplicating the same wastewater generation pattern solely to assign different GPCD values.
I suggest moving the gpcd field to both the Land Use and Subcatchment tables.
This would allow modelers to:
Better represent gpcd variations within flow-meter calibration basins by applying multiple gpcd as needed.
Reuse a common wastewater generation pattern instead of unnecessarily duplicating patterns just to accommodate the variation in gpcd.
Use #D to globally update gpcd for subcatchments associated with a Land Use while retaining the ability to override the value for individual or selected subcatchments.
Conceptually, the wastewater profile would define when wastewater is generated, while the gpcd would independently define how much wastewater is generated. This separation would simplify model setup, calibration, and ongoing maintenance.
