We would like InfoWorks ICM to support GRIB2 radar products that contain multiple spatial resolutions within a single dataset.
Some radar products contain both 250m and 1km grids in the same GRIB2 file. In addition, forecast products may use different resolutions depending on forecast lead time. For example, forecasts up to 30 minutes ahead may be provided at 250m resolution, while forecasts beyond 30 minutes are provided at 1km resolution.
Currently, these mixed-resolution GRIB2 datasets cannot be fully utilized. Support for multiple grid definitions and spatial resolutions within a single GRIB2 product would greatly improve compatibility with modern radar datasets and operational forecasting workflows.
This enhancement would enable users to directly import and use high-resolution observed and forecast radar products without requiring data conversion or preprocessing.
