RTC variables can be useful when modelling complex systems, but while I can check individual timestep values of variables using the log, it would be helpful to be able to visualize these on a graph (and compare it with other simulation results).

Good idea. I will note that ICM SWMM does do this as the capacity graph parameter for pumps, weirs and orifices to show the setting for the diversion element.
Of course there are work arounds, and I have had success with setting a dummy vspump rate equal to the variable rate, but this can still be a bit of a pain to set up and remove again once I am happy with the operation fo the RTC.
