It is a pity that there is no way to upgrade the embedded Ruby interpreter.
Unfortunately, that old version is not compatible with many of the useful Ruby Gems – severely limiting its usefulness.
Do you have plans to include a more recent version than 2.4.3 (which was released over 7 years ago)? If not, could I ask that you please upgrade it to the latest version for the next release?
It would potentially help drive more sales and increase market share if it is a factor in people’s decisions about what software to use for urban network modelling etc, so that is another good reason for upgrading.

I voted for this but IMO, the current Ruby code is not fully utilized. Do you have some examples of how a newer Ruby interpreter that uses the Ruby parameters' of ICM would be much better? Ruby Gems has often been mentioned int he past.
