Currently the gauged object result fields are limited. For instance, they do not include 2d related results at nodes. As the use case for ICM has expanded so has the information that users are interested in. No longer as they just looked at 'flow gauge' locations. It would be very helpful if gauged object results were expanded to all result fields, users can then further individualise results as required using the 'results selector' object.
Ultimately this will give users more flexibility and reduce result files sizes. Improving performance through all stages of results usage and exports.
I will add to this that it is now becoming common for users to switch off the vast majority of results by setting the results multiplier = 0. This has a number of unintended consequences such as no Geoplan replay and graphing capabilities (you cannot specify a real date range). This should be tackled at the same time.
