Select which result variables you want to save

The more functionalities become available in ICM, the larger results files grow and the less manageable they become (especially when running longer time series). In most cases people are only interested in very specific results (e.g. depth, flows, ... and not such things as all the detailed runoff components). So if one would be able to select at the simulation schedule which variables were to be stored), results file sizes (and hence results querying !) could be reduced enormeously.

Is it possible to visualise longitudinal profiles using this functionality? Because using a gauge list, this seemed not possible even if all objects of the longitudinal profile you wished to display were indeed selected in the gauge list.

Great news, the following feature was added to ICM 2021.6! Results selectors for InfoWorks networks A new database item, Results selector ( ), now is available for InfoWorks networks. This item is used to limit the results generated from a run to only include the attributes you are primarily interested in. The Result Selection dialog can be used to choose which type of results (Hydraulic, Water quality or 2D results), which class of results, such as rivers and subcatchments, which type of attribute (All, Summary, Times series or Gauge) as well as the individual attributes you want results to be generated for. The Schedule Hydraulic Run View has been updated to include a new dropbox for a results selector item. Only one results selector item can be included in a run, which becomes read-only after the run is complete. The results from a simulation that includes a results selector item can be viewed using the usual methods for viewing simulations results.
