Has anyone had issues with the hydrant available flow being less than the hydrant design flow? It has always been my impression that the hydrant available flow has less constraints and therefore would have a higher fire flow than that of the hydrant design flow. But, our output is showing the opposite. Is this an issue with the latest release or is there something I am misunderstanding? Is there a better place for me to post this question?

I am flagging this as completed as we have found our Accelerated Fire Flow Solver has been able to give more accurate results in a wide range of systems, and we've now switched it to be the default.
If anyone experiences this issue again with the new solver (optional from version 2024 and default in 2026.2), please reach out to our support team so we can triage the issue. This platform is for new features.
I ended up posting a similar question. I think there's something wrong with the update. In the new update, the available flow will consider the pipe velocity and hydrant pressure. I had a few design flows higher than the available flow, but only by a few gpm. Previously, the available flow only considered the pressure of the hydrant flowing.
