It would be great to have additional snapping options—simple ones like end, midpoint, and intersection—to make placement more accurate. Currently, snapping is inconsistent and often doesn’t engage when expected.
It would also help to clearly show when snapping is active, and to make placement symbols (e.g., junction icons) semi‑transparent, as they can obstruct the view and make it hard to confirm whether snapping has actually occurred. Alternatively, using an arrow pointer to place with an offset image of the element.
These improvements would make drawing and placing elements faster, clearer, and much less tedious.
100% agree - more snapping options would make life so much easier, not just for adding new elements but also for amending things that have already been placed.
And it would be good if these snaps were in the toolbox window, it's really irritating having to activate snap mode from the 'Plan' tab on the ribbon when the toolbox is already open.
