For a start, its not clear that the software actually does this, except one line in the help. So would probably be a good idea to make that clear. But the main issue is that I either need to mess with the volume or the porosity to make the volume match the actual volume. I then need to explain to everyone checking my calculations why my calculations don't match my drawings. I don't think many people use a 1m square access anyway so its a bit of an odd thing to add as a default.
