As a former MicroDrainage user, I'm struggling to model soakaways in InfoDrainage, as InfoDrainage does not account for storage volume within the gravel filter media that surrounds the soakaway. The gravel pit also provides larger area of infiltration, which should reduce the size of the required soakaway.
Therefore, at the moment, InfoDrainage provides overdesigned soakaways, which end up costing the client more money than they should.
Could you please refine the soakaway design function in InfoDrainage, so it allows for a gravel pit around the soakaway?

You can currently connect a soakaway structure with an infiltration trench (which represents the gravel pit). Modelled correctly, both of these structures together would represent a soakaway with a gravil pit.
Give that a go and let us know how you get on!
