Is this the method? The "Area Density Method" in the context of India typically refers to calculating population density by dividing the total population by the area of land. This method is used to understand how densely populated a region is, with values usually expressed as people per square kilometer
If so, then you can do this in ICM now by using Ruby or SQL storing the population in a user field and then dividing by the area of the subcatchment.
